United Plastering contacted me to paint a custom mold that is currently hanging on a wall in Lucarelli’s Deli of Naples, Florida.
United Plastering specializes in drywall, hardcoat, stucco, & plastering. The large mold above was a totally new concept to me.
All my life I had painted on canvas, but this 3D project was on a different level than I had experience before!
With this five day project, I was able to reference a picture that had been taken of the scenery, and bring the sculpture to life!
I added a shiny gloss to the painted floor to give the “marbled tile” effect.
I hope that I will be able to work with United Plastering again in the future!
