    Lucarelli Deli Gets A Little Flare From United Plastering

    Custom Painted Sculpture

    United Plastering contacted me to paint a custom mold that is currently hanging on a wall in Lucarelli’s Deli of Naples, Florida.

    United Plastering specializes in drywall, hardcoat, stucco, & plastering. The large mold above was a totally new concept to me.

    All my life I had painted on canvas, but this 3D project was on a different level than I had experience before!

    With this five day project, I was able to reference a picture that had been taken of the scenery, and bring the sculpture to life!

    I added a shiny gloss to the painted floor to give the “marbled tile” effect.

    I hope that I will be able to work with United Plastering again in the future!

    Custom Wooden Wedding Signs- A Napa Valley Wedding

    Custom Wood Signs

    Making these custom wooden wedding signs for Rashelle + Nicolas were so much fun! They were  a Do Me A Favor Event Concepts‘ client, and DMAF contacted me for the wooden signs.

    The journey started out at Home Depot, and I had the wood boards and stakes cut to the size I thought appropriate for the occasion. After sanding down the edges, I used an Olympic Mocha Brown Wood Stainer to get the dark brown background.

    Any font can be used for the signs, and I use a special Custom Art By Alexis technique to get the white acrylic font just right on the board!
